The Nominating Committee is pleased to report that this week we are continuing the process of discernment with several interesting and well qualified candidates through telephone interviews with the Committee as a whole. The Committee is on track to make its recommendation to the Vestry in early June. However, there remains much to be done in the discernment process. Please keep the candidates, the Committee and the Vestry in your prayers as we enter this important phase of the search for All Saints’ next rector.

On February 1, 2009, the Vestry approved the Parish Profile presented to it by the Nominating Committee. The Profile has been submitted to Bishop Smith for his review, after which it will be published nationally and the Committee will begin to receive names of potential candidates.
The Committee has scheduled several dates to present the Parish Profile and the results of the November, 2008 survey to the All Saints' Community. They are as follows:
Sunday, February 22, 2009 at the coffee hour following the 10am service
Monday, February 23, 2009 at 8:15am in Manning Hall
Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 5:30pm in St. Barbara I & II meeting rooms
The Nominating Committee has adopted a process for screening candidates, to ensure that all applicants will be treated consistently. The first step in the process is for all potential candidates to be initially referred to the Bishop's Office. If you know a priest who is interested in serving as All Saints' next Rector, please refer that person to the Bishop's Office.
The Committee is on schedule with the timeline created at the beginning of the process and we are excited to move into the next phase of our search. Please continue to pray for those who are serving on the Nominating Committee as well as for those who may discern a call to be our next Rector.
