The 2008-2009 year at All Saints’ promises to be a time of new and exciting developments. We have a new interim rector: The Rev. Leonard Evans. We have a new educational program: The Year of the Story, which coordinates the adult forums on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. with the teachings for our children and youth. We also have an exciting new program for junior and senior high school students called The Ten Doors which gives our youth many opportunities to get involved in our community.
All Saints’ is thriving and the Vestry, Clergy and Stewardship Committee members are leading the way in responding to God’s bounty. We have all been very blessed in our lives and we believe that one way we can express our thanksgiving and practice spiritual discipline is by making a pledge to All Saints’. Making this financial commitment is an essential part of our spiritual journey from self-centeredness to love and generosity.
We are all stewards; that is to say, caretakers – of our families, our homes, our businesses or professions, our communities and our relationship with God. We invite you to join us as stewards in this spiritual journey by making or increasing your financial pledge to All Saints’. Please give prayerful thought to your own spiritual journey and those steps that you might take now and in the future.
We are asking that pledge cards be returned by placing them in the offering plate or by sending them to the parish office on or before November 2, (All Saints’ Sunday). This will allow our Vestry the time it needs to finalize the 2009 budget.
